Farewell to a much loved Waterwatcher

rep Laura Bocker

It is with much sadness that we farewell Laura Bocker a Waterwatch champion, who passed away earlier this year. Carlisle River was Laura’s passion and we are forever in her debt for the lead role she played in collecting much needed water quality  and macroinvertebrate data from 2012 until 2016. Laura was a dedicated environmental educator who showed her students that they too can make a difference and improve the River they love. Laura will be missed in so many ways but her legacy in providing real data on river health lives on, along with the continued enthusiasm shown by students at the Carlisle River Primary School to monitor the river.
